I’m NEW TO CHURCH and I’m wondering…
While we certainly hope not, everybody’s a little different and we know it can be awkward or uncomfortable visiting a church for the first time.
That said, you can join us anytime with full confidence that we genuinely care about you and want to make you feel welcome!
Whether you’re dressed in your “sunday best” or not, we want to make sure that you feel welcome and at home! Our founding pastor often wore shorts and flip-flops at church! Our church is pretty casual in dress and demeanor, so wear what’s comfortable and expect to feel welcomed.
Every Sunday morning at 9:15 am we gather together to praise God and to hear from His Word. Our worship team leads us in a time of musical worship to Jesus. We like to make room after the teaching for response; we have people available to pray for you, and once a month we partake in holy communion.
We don’t pressure anyone to give money (especially if you’re new). In fact, we actually don’t want you to. Part of the reason people do give is because they feel in their hearts to support the work of God. We genuinely care about you and you’re our valued guest!
We won’t judge you based on outward appearances. We have plenty of people who have different styles. We love that you’re different and want you to feel welcome to join us!
I’m A Christian and I’m wondering…
ALWAYS! We believe the Bible is inspired word of God. We believe the Bible is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work (2 Tim. 3:16-17).
Whether it’s a normal service, or some other event, you can expect all of our music and teaching to align with and come from the Bible.
We believe the whole Bible is relevant to every walk of life, and necessary for spiritual wholeness even the parts that are hard to talk about.
We never desire to drive anyone away from church of course, and we want to make sure that everyone feels welcome, but we can’t compromise truth in order to do that.
Our mission is to serve God by serving others. Therefore, we strongly encourage people to be discipled and learn the roots of becoming a believer and follower of Jesus. Once you have taken those steps, they we work towards getting involved on serving a team. Check out our Next Step page!
Hemet Assembly of God is associated to the Assemblies of God (AG) denomination and rooted in pentecostal doctrine. As members of AG we are entirely independent and autonomous, but united by the shared beliefs and history.
